Matteo Abbate is born on September 5, in 1975, in Sicily, and lives in Sicily, in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, in the province of Messina. Self-taught, with a luminous and overflowing fantasy, he began his journey as a fairy tales writer in 2013 with the publication of the collection "The Scarecrow Maker and Other Stories", (Euno Edizioni), followed in 2016 by the collection "Two Blue Socks" (Euno Edizioni) , and in 2018 from the collection " The Generous Fig and Other Fairy Tales" (Lulu Edizioni), which make up the "Listening Trilogy".  In December 2019, he publishes the fairy tale "The Revolt of the Chargers" (picture book, Euno Edizioni). He collaborates with schools, libraries and cultural associations, taking courses in Creative Reading and Creative Writing.
